Information is King.
The key to operating a plant or process successfully is having the correct data.
For many reasons, including; staff turnover, undocumented changes, new equipment, rapid deployment, business acquisition, the need to enhance, upgrade planning, etc… companies from time to time find themselves needing to measure and collect process, operations and or performance information.
The long and tedious way to gather this information is to manually measure and record. This usually involves someone wondering all over the plant for weeks on end with a bunch of instruments and then writing the measured information to paper and then later keying that information into a spreadsheet. The obvious drawback of this method is that the information usually only represents a small “snap-shot” of what’s going on. The alternative method is to tap into the plant’s SCADA or similar data acquisition and recording system and access stored measurements. This is assuming that the plant has such a system and that the information that is required is actually recorded and that accessing it doesn’t require a degrees in IT, communication and or electronics.
Whether by manual means, SCADA or hiring in instruments and data loggers, it’s all very tedious, complicated and expensive.

The COMPLETE DATA PACKAGE is a service provided by Emissionless for companies needing to quickly collect plant, process and performance data. The COMPLETE DATA PACKAGE comprises hardware and our expert hands-on service, and includes, in its standard format;
- An onsite installation of a data acquisition logger which reports back to our central data monitor
- Wireless (GSM/GPRS) communication between the logger & central monitor
- 10 standard instruments capable of measuring;
- Temperatures
- PressuresRelative humidity
- Rotational speeds
- Electrical current
- Pressure can be configured to measure differential or gauge
- Flow rates can be derived from measuring differential pressure
- Electricity generation and or consumption can be determined by measuring electrical current
- Cabling for the 10 standard instruments (50m each)
- Built-in capacity to handle up to 64 instruments simultaneously
- Instruments outside the standard 10 is priced on application

How does the service work?
We first inspect your site and determine your measurement and data collection requirements. We look at what you need measured. We determine how frequently measurements should be recorded to ensure all the peak, valley and plateau conditions are captured. And we determine the most appropriate period of time over which the measurements should be taken so as to capture best and worst case plant conditions.
We then provide you with a detailed written quotation.
We then install the logger and our pre-calibrated instruments on site and hook in any instruments that may already exist.
We then monitor the data being logged.
At defined intervals we send to you, via email, a report on the collected data. The report will include a collation of the data and presented in the form of graphs. Where necessary we will convert the data from measured process values into values that are meaningful to your organisation. i.e – converting differential pressure readings into density & temperature corrected actual flow rates. If any anomalies show up we’ll highlight and discuss these with you, as it may be possible to make on the spot process improvements which we can then continue to test.
At the conclusion of the data collection period, we remove the provided hardware and provide you with a comprehensive presentation of the collected data along with an analysis of the measured results and recommendations if required. The data and graphs will also be provided in an MS Excel spreadsheet for you own further analysis.

How much does it cost?
This is an equipment & technician hire service, which typical costs a fraction of the cost of individually hiring in a data logger and 10 instruments. The cost does vary from site to site and application to application and is dependent on how many process parameters needs measuring, how many instruments are needed, how easy installation will be and how long the service is required.
